Music review:Jaane tu ya Jaane Na, incredible music@ Jaane tu ya Jaane Na
Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na looks to be the perfect launch pad for Imran Khan, nephew of Aamir Khan. The music by A.R.Rahman seems to have create the right impression. The music of Jaane Tu Jaane Na, is peppy and youthful, the one that can be in the same mould as Duniya Dilwalon Ki. With peppy and soulful romantic numbers in Jaane tu Ya Jaane Na, the album should surely rock.
'Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi' should end up as one of the best romantic tracks of 2008. Beautifully written by director and lyricist Abbas Tyrewala, this should be likened by all, particularly by the girls who are named ‘Aditi’ and their boyfriends. The singer Rashid’s voice seems to be a perfect foil to Imran Khan.
Tap your legs to the foot-tapping “Pappu cant dance”. Strict warning: Play it loud. The track is racy and fun-filled. Singers Anupama Deshpande, Benny Dayal, Blaze, Tanvi, Darshana, Satish Subramanium, Mohd. Aslam have created a zingy feel to the track. Both the remixed version and the actual version, though the remixed version is more danceable.
The song ‘‘Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai’ sung by Runa has a haunting feel of lost love.. It is in the same mould as ‘Zara Zara’ or ‘Tanhai’. But the track may take time to grow. The pensive feel is conveyed in a more solemn mood through Sukhvinder song in the male version.
‘Nazrein Milaana Nazrein Churaana’ is yet another youthful track that can make you addicted. This one is also sung by a bevy of singers- Naresh Iyer, Benny Dayal, Satish Chakravarthy, Darshana, Shwetha, Tanvi, Bhargavi, Anupama etc.

Tu Bole Main Boloon sung by A.R.Rahman has feel of a classic Hollywood musical . The song is a take on how boys and guys have different ways of looking at things. This one also make time to grow but the musical arrangements are just perfect.
Rashid Ali is again in top form with the most romantic song of the album ‘Kahin Toh Hogi’. A personal favorite, this one has a very good repeat value. Defintely one of those tracks to enter your i-pod.
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is the best album of the year so far and if there is no competitor in its way, it will fetch yet another award for AR.Rahman. The frothy and youthful album of A.R.Rahman in the form of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, is a pleasant diversion from the music wizard who had been slotted lately into giving music only for period films and serious cinema. Finally the Rangeela flavor of Rahman is back!

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has offered "sincere apology" for posting on his blog that he had named his pet dog after fellow superstar Shah Rukh Khan .
"To those people who were uncomfortable with that part or disturbed, my sincere apologies because I didn't mean to upset anybody or that wasn't my intention", Aamir told reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday.
He said his intention was "just in good humour and if someone has been really upset, any fan has been upset, my fan, Shah Rukh's fan, my sincere apologies. I didn't mean to do that at all".
"Shah Rukh is a very dear friend of mine. And I have the highest respect and regard for him", Aamir said adding "that blog was in good humour. All people have found it really funny".
However, "some people didn't find it funny. Some of my fans felt I should not have said that," Aamir said.
"I received comments about the blogpost. Some found it funny and humorous. Others did not. My sincere apologies to our fans who found the blog offending. But, I did not intend to hurt anybody," Aamir said.

Aamir had began his blogpost saying, "Shah Rukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits. What more can I ask for".
Aamir said he has recovered from his hamstring injury and will resume shooting ofGhajini (Hindi) this week.

Asserting that India has made impressive progress since independence, Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan has sharply criticised those who take a cynical view of the accomplishments of the nation.
"There is nothing to be cynical and critical of our accomplishments," Bachchan told a press conference New York Friday evening, reminding a questioner that 60 years is a very short period in the life of a nation.

For a long time, India had been suppressed by foreign rulers and now that it is independent, it has to put its progress on the fast track to catch up with the rest of the world and that creates difficulties sometimes, Bachchan emphasised.
The countries, which are now developed, made step-by-step progress since the industrial revolution from which India did not benefit and now to catch up, the country has to take quantum leaps, Bachchan said.
But when one takes quantum leaps, some vacuum is left and that creates some difficulties, Bachchan stressed, adding that India has to take action on two tracks - leap frog development and deal with the vacuum created.
Bachchan said he is confident that the country has the acumen and desire to overcome these difficulties. That is clear from the fact that India has progressed to the extent that world is now showing interest in not only its economic progress but also its culture, heritage, food, dress and even movies.
"I am proud to be an Indian, very very proud of its accomplishments," Bachchan asserted amidst cheers.
Giving example of the importance that world attached to the progress being made by India, Bachchan recalled that during a function in London, the city Mayor had remarked that when 20 years from now, the world leaders sit down to discuss universal economics, there will be President of the US, the Prime Minister of China and the Prime Minister of India.
Bachchan is in New York to participate in the centenary celebration of his father, famous Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, organised by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, USA. He will render selected verses from the poems of his father at special function being got up on the occasion.
Replying to a question, Bachchan said main purpose of the movies is to entertain and in the process if they also provide education or acquaint Indians outside the country with their culture and heritage, it is something the movie industry could be proud of.
But then the organisations like Bhavan and government have to do more to ensure that generation born outside the country remains acquainted with language and the culture of the country, Bachchan said.
The movies, Bachchan said, are not made for a small audience or for people in a particular region but they need to have appeal across the country, or even abroad, for their success. However, he said that they are a great integrator as people from wide spectrum of regions see and appreciate them and that creates common bonds.
But Bachchan took strong objection when a question was put as to when Bollywood would catch up with Hollywood. He said it should rather be the other way round. The Indian cinema has its own place independent of Hollywood and is not dependent on it.

Well, the verbal volleys between the two leading Khans continue as Aamir resorts to subtle banter in the latest entry The star of Ghajini (Hindi) is presently taking a break from work due to his hamstring injury and is relaxing in his “favourite place on earth”, Panchgani, with family and kids. Aamir writes: “I’m sitting under a tree, on the edge of a valley, approximately 5000 feet above sea level. The river Krishna flows far below us snaking its way among the Sahyadri mountains. A cool breeze is blowing, jannat ki hawa (breeze from the heavens), as my mother calls it. Ammi, Ira and Junaid are by my side and we are in the middle of one of our favourite board games ‘Settlers Of Catan’. Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for? “Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shahrukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact Shahrukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog! Apparently Shahrukh (the actor) was shooting for a commercial in this house a few years ago, and that very day the caretakers bought a pup…, and named him Shahrukh. What are the chances of me buying a house which comes with a dog called Shahrukh!!! “Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shahrukh’s to want to do that. Your guess… “All I can say is I’m waiting for him to come over.” Then Aamir goes on to talk about his healing injury and how he would love to learn para-gliding when he recovers. But Khan ends his blog abruptly with: “Well Shahrukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath. Mumbai, Mar 13 (ANI): Shahrukh Khan, the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) today said his team will be an inspiration for budding cricketers and fans.
Speaking to reporters here, Shahrukh said his teams philosophy be to inspire the common man through the cricket.
"We will create such a platform that not only those who want to play cricket, but also those who want to lead a better life can get inspired by our players and lead a successful victorious life," said Khan.
Khan, and his business partners formally launched their team on Tuesday.
The Kolkata IPL team will be led by former Indian cricket team skipper Saurav Ganguly. John Buchanan will be its coach.
The IPL, a Twenty20 competition is scheduled to start on April 18 this year and will last for 44 days involving 59 matches. The prize money for the league will be around three million dollars.

IPL News Just when the cricket world was beginning to enjoy a new-found harmony and camaraderie among international players in the IPL, the unthinkable happened between two Indian players.
On Friday night, S Sreesanth was allegedly slapped by Harbhajan Singh after the match between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab came to an end.
Sreesanth was seen on camera breaking down in front of his teammates minutes after the Kings XI Punjab team defeated the Mumbai Indians by 66 runs in Mohali.
Kings XI Punjab skipper Yuvraj Singh also told the media that "the act" was unacceptable but did not confirm if Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth.
"That was unacceptable behavior. But Harbhajan late came to the dressing and spoke with Sree and am sure apologised," Yuvraj said.
Bhajji, Sree say no love lost over 'friendly slap'The coach of Kings XI Punjab, Tom Moody said the matter must be left with the authorities to deal with.
"I had a long chat with Sree. This was unacceptable. I don't know what the ramifications will be but I am sure officials will deal with it in their own fashion," he said.
When CNN-IBN's Nishant Arora spoke with the two players, both played down the incident.
"He didn't slap me. May be the handshake was in the wrong place," Sreesanth said. However, he did let it slip that he was a "little hurt".
"It was just a misunderstanding, a part of the game. After all we all play together and share the same dressing room. So I did not take it too seriously and have not much to complain about him (Harbhajan). We all know Bhajji and need not take it seriously. I was a little hurt but am fine with it," he said.
He also said Harbhajan apologised later. "I just cried because, I don't know. I am fine, he spoke with me, apologised. But there was no need because end of the day, we play for the same team and we have to go together a long way. Whatever happens in IPL should not be taken too seriously as end of the day it's just entertainment. Whatever happened shouldn't have happened but it's okay," he said.
Harbhajan too confirmed this and said they had kissed and made up. "It's not a big issue, people making it an issue. As far as both of us are concerned, the matter is solved. Nothing happened between us. he is like my younger brother and respects me. I did push him, may be just a little too hard, but later apologised. We sat, we talked and it's over. I told him I was sorry if he felt bad. We have been together for so long and have to go a long way. These things are between us. We are over with it."
Harbhajan's mother Avtar Kaur says they should talk the matter out. "What can I say, I was not even watching the match. But both of them should resolve their differences and reconcile," she said.
IPL Chairman Lalit Modi says the authorities have not received any complain and will take action only after an official complain is lodged.
He also said if match referee complains, action will be taken according to the ICC law.

"IPL News "Mumbai Indians captain Harbhajan Singh and Kings XI paceman S Sreesanth were late on Friday night involved in a bitter row, following which the fast bowler was seen crying bitterly on the ground at the end of their IPL match here.Harbhajan allegedly slapped Sreesanth after the paceman said something to Harbhajan which offended the off-spinner.
The off-spinner however had a long chat with Sreesanth in the dressing room of the Punjab team and is even believed to have apologised for his behaviour.

The winning captain Yuvraj Singh was upset by the unsavoury incident and termed it "ugly".
"This is really an ugly incident. You do not want to see such things off the field specially after such a win. I am pretty upset at what has happened. This is totally unacceptable," he said apparently criticising Harbhajan Singh.
Kings XI Punjab have said they will lodge official complaint on incident.
